I provide clinical supervision for Limited Licensed Counselors who are working toward full LPC licensure in Michigan.
Clinical supervision is more than reviewing cases and documenting required hours. It is a structured professional relationship designed to help you strengthen your clinical judgment, develop confidence, work through ethical and professional challenges, and establish your identity as an independently practicing counselor.
As a Michigan Licensed Professional Counselor, I have completed 30 hours of specialized training in counseling supervision and meet Michigan’s professional-experience requirements for supervising Limited Licensed Counselors.
I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist and a Master Accelerated Resolution Therapy Practitioner. I bring this specialized background to my work with supervisees who want to develop greater competence and confidence in trauma-informed counseling.
My Approach to Clinical Supervision:
My supervision style is collaborative, developmental, supportive, and direct. I aim to create an environment in which supervisees can discuss difficult cases, uncertainties, mistakes, and professional concerns without shame while remaining accountable to ethical, legal, and clinical standards.
Supervision is individualized according to your experience, work setting, client population, theoretical orientation, and professional goals. A counselor beginning post-graduate practice may benefit from greater structure and guidance, while a more experienced Limited License Counselor may need deeper consultation, advanced case conceptualization, and support preparing for independent practice.
You can expect:

Counseling clients with trauma histories can require careful attention to pacing, safety, therapeutic boundaries, emotional regulation, case complexity, and the counselor’s own responses to the work.
As a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, I can help supervisees strengthen their understanding of trauma-informed care and apply that understanding thoughtfully within their scope of competence.
Trauma-focused supervision may include:
Trauma-informed supervision does not replace formal training in a specialized trauma treatment model. Supervisees are expected to use only interventions for which they have received appropriate education, training, consultation, and authorization.

As a Master Accelerated Resolution Therapy Practitioner, I also bring advanced experience with Accelerated Resolution Therapy to the supervisory relationship.
For supervisees who have received appropriate ART training, supervision can include consultation regarding case selection, preparation, treatment planning, clinical integration, professional boundaries, and the thoughtful use of ART within the supervisee’s competence and practice setting.
Supervision with me does not qualify or credential a supervisee to practice ART. Counselors interested in using ART must complete the appropriate training.
